K-9 Searches - Has your privacy been violated?

K-9 Searches - Has your privacy been violated?

UA Local 179 does not condone drug or alcohol on job sites. We feel there are serious issues around the lack of protocol regarding the use of canine searches, such as where, when and how the search will be conducted. Furthermore, we have an issue with the fact that no written policy exists for the search of employee’s personal property/possessions.

If you have been subjected to a K-9 search on a job site and feel that your privacy was violated as a result, please view the attached documents. If after reviewing the package you feel your privacy was violated, follow the instructions and fill out the attached forms and send them in to the instructed address.
