LIDGETT, Ernest (Ernie)
On Sunday, October 28, 2012, surrounded by the love of his family, Ernest Lidgett passed away peacefully in St. Paul's Hospital at the age 73 years. Ernie was born on the family farm in the Fir Mountain district, SK on October 25, 1939. The family moved to Fort Qu'Appelle when he was 10 years old. He lived there until he started working on seismic rigs. He then worked at Honeywell and then on campus at the University of Saskatchewan until his retirement in 2004. He was predeceased by his parents, Minnie and George; brother, Les; sister-in-law, Gladys; niece, Deanna; brother-in-law, Dave Wowchuk; parents-in-law, Marie and Clement Coquet; sister-in-law, Genevieve Veronneau; brothers-in-law, Francois, Bernard, Jean Coquet. Ernie is survived by his wife of 47 years, Marie; sons, Marc (Jennifer and most precious granddaughter Arielle); Rob (Kim and her son Colton); brothers, John (Fran), Allen (Shirley); sisters, Lila, Kay (Jim), Shirley (Win), Pat (Elwyn), Connie; sister in law, Angele, brother-in-law, Armand (Elsie); and many nieces and nephews.The Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Park Funeral Chapel, 311 Third Avenue North, Saskatoon. Interment will take place in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery. He will be dearly missed by his loving family and all his friends.
