May 28, 2013

Hugh Ivan McHarg

April 9th, 1965 -  May 16th, 2013

It is with heavy hearts, the family announces the sudden passing of Hugh McHarg, loving husband of Debbie McHarg. Hugh was born on April 9, 1965 in Shellbrook, SK to Joyce and Douglas McHarg. He attended school in Prince Albert where he played school sports. He also enjoyed playing and coaching baseball and hockey. Hugh was a plumber by trade, who worked with Thorpe Brothers before going to the Prince Albert Grand Council as a Building Maintenance Trainer. In 1991 he married his true love Debbie, and together they had three beautiful children. He was a devoted loving husband and father, who put his love of family first. Hugh was extremely proud of Morgan, Amanda and Lindsey. In the spring, summer and fall Hugh could always be found fishing in Northern Saskatchewan. He loved to fish with family and friends, especially his brother Scot. In the winter Hugh was an avid snowmobiler with his family. He enjoyed taking part in many snowmobile events and races. Hugh had a never-ending enthusiasm for family, life and adventure. He always had a mischievous twinkle in his eye that made you wonder what he was going to get up to next. He will be sadly missed by all. Hugh entered his eternal rest on May 16, 2013. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Debbie; his son Morgan and daughters Amanda and Lindsey; his mother Joyce; his brothers Garth (Nancy) and Scot (Sherry); his father and mother-in-law Peter and Rita Hardman along with Richard (Kristine), Brian (Lana), Theresa, as well as many nephews, nieces and friends. Hugh was predeceased by his father Douglas McHarg. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at St. Mark Roman Catholic Church, 589 – 9th Street East, Prince Albert, SK with Reverend Father Tuan Doan officiating. Interment will take place at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. In lieu of other tributes memorial donations can be made to the Charity of Donor’s Choice. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray’s Funeral Chapel, Lorne Adams, Funeral Director.
